Are You Going? It's time for the Schoolhouse Expo 2013! {Giveaway}

How many of my readers are planning to attend the Schoolhouse Expo this year?  I know I am!  Are you even aware that the Old Schoolhouse Magazine does this Expo every year?  Are you asking, "what's this business she's talking about?"

Schoolhouse Expo

The Old Schoolhouse Magazine has been providing their wonderful Schoolhouse Expo for a few years now.  This extraordinary event features some of the TOP names in homeschooling, like the beautiful Heather Laurie from Special Needs Homeschooling, the passionate husband and father, Davis Carmen, the President of Apologia Educational Ministries and the lovely Kim Kautzer from Writeshop, just to name a few!

There are so many inspirational speakers lined up that this list can go on and on but you can read more about them here on the TOS website!  Simply scroll to the bottom of the page and click each individual photo to find out more about who they are and what they do for homeschooling!  I'm sure there will be more than a few that you will be just as excited to hear from as I am!!

This exceptional event is completely ONLINE and lasts all week long!  That's five days of inspiration, fulfilling support and ideas from some of the greatest homeschoolers available!  Don't worry, you don't have to be online every day - the sessions are recorded and can be watched anytime at your convenience!

The Schoolhouse Expo runs from August 19-23, 2013!
Times are 1:00pm - 8:00pm Eastern, or 10:00am- 5:00pm Pacific.

TOS has graciously offered to give ONE of my lucky readers their own Schoolhouse Expo ticket for FREE!  All you have to do is follow the directions provided in the Rafflecopter Gadget below!

  1. my best tip to my future self for home schooling? Breath. Take a break. Drink a cup o’ joe. Go to the library or park. Get out! He will not fall behind, you are not failing him. Love them for who they are now, because soon they will be gone! Let the laundry pile, and dust bunnies settle. Your children will not remember the dust, but they will remember Mama being mad.

    That’s not a memory anyone likes to have.

  2. I have always wanted to attend the expo but haven't done it before.

  3. My homeschool tip would be enjoy your young children. Read, read, read to them but don't push academics too young.

  4. Awesome :) would love to win.

  5. As a mother of an autistic child one of my biggest tips would be to just go at their own pace, and if something isn't working take a break and try again another day. Also as a mom with a disability, schooling can take place anywhere, even in your bed.

  6. My favorite homeschooling tip is to take lot's field trips!

  7. Love the speakers of these expos!
